The Fibers

Naturally Aware

Natural fibers respect the environment and guarantee the combination of well-being and ethics that characterize the entire path of Maeko’s production chain. Natural fabrics are produced using yarns made of fibers that already exist in nature, fibers obtained through mechanical not chemical processes that change their structure. There are mainly two types of natural fibers, the animal origin ones, such as wool, silk and crabyon and the vegetable origin ones, such as hemp, cotton, linen and nettle. Working with and not against nature is the principle that underlies Maeko’s philosophy
